The Brocade Silkworm 5000 switch has been architected to support rapidly growing environments. This switch is fully compatible with Brocade 1, 2, and 4 Gbit/sec devices and delivers native E_Port interoperability for existing McDATA devices.

The Brocade 5000 is the first switch that can operate in SAN fabrics running FOS native, FOS open, M-EOS native, and M-EOS open modes. This allows your organization to benefit from non-disruptive expansion of existing SAN fabrics. And, the Brocade 5000 consumes 20% less power than the Brocade 4100.
