The Cisco MDS 9000 Storage Services Module has been specially designed to support Intelligent Fabric Applications from multiple partners, including EMC, IBM and Veritas. It has thirty-two Fibre Channel ports and embedded ASICs created to boost performance for third party Intelligent Fabric Applications.

With 32 ports of Fibre Channel switching, you won’t have to compromise port density or I/O performance. And, security and stability are enhanced with VSANs and IVR. The Storage Services Module is hot-swappable and entirely integrates into the Cisco MDS 9000 Family high-availability architecture.
