The MDS 9000 24-Port 8-Gbps Fibre Channel Switching Modules are well-suited towards Inter-Switch Links (ISLs) and high-end storage connectivity. All members of the Cisco MDS 9000 Family of 8-Gbps Fibre Channel Switching Modules offer twice the bandwidth of previous Cisco MDS Fibre Channel switching modules. These modules use the Cisco MDS 9500 Family Director architecture to offer consistent, dependable performance.
With 24 8-Gbps ports supporting 4-Gbps SFP and 8-Gbps SFP+ devices, this model delivers the strongest performance for high-end storage subsystems and ISLs. It also offers 192 Gbps of full-duplex bandwidth.
