Compatible with products in the Cisco MDS 9000 Family, the MDS 9000 4-Port IP Storage Services Module offers flexible configuration options, such as four hot-swappable, Small Form-Factor Pluggable, LC Gigabit Ethernet interfaces.


The modules can be configured with short-wave, long-wave or extended-reach SFPs for connectivity up to 100 kilometers. All ports are also configurable for both FCIP and iSCSI. 

This module offers flexible IP storage services, easier business continuance and storage consolidation, full security, FCIP for remote SAN extension and VSANs and IVR to improve SAN security and stability.
