Part of the Cisco MDS 9000 Family the 4-Port 10-Gbps Fibre Channel Switching Module offers excellent performance with 10-Gbps link bandwidth, 80 Gbps of continuous aggregate bandwidth per module, and sophisticated features to make multilayer SANs a reality.
And, this model provides over five times the effective link bandwidth of 2-Gbps Fibre Channel products. It also features high performance ISLs to support up to 16 links in a single PortChannel and advanced FICON features. The MDS 9000 4-Port 10-Gbps switching module is also high scalable – up to 44 10-Gbps ports can be integrated into a single chassis, and 132 ports can be incorporated into a single 42-unit rack.
