In addition to HP’s Surestore E tape library family consisting of the 2/20, 4/40 and 6/60 model configurations, a higher-end model, the 20/700, was manafactured to provide customers high-performance capacity and performance. The 20/700 also includes hot-swappable, redundant components for high availability, and can hold up to 28TB of storage (uncompressed) and up to 20 DLT 8000 or 12 HP 9840 tape drives (backup speeds maximum 450GB/hr.).
Specifically, this model is suited to work with the HP SureStore E Disk Array XP256, and both integrate with HP’s OpenView OmniBack II data-management software.
This library is available as a basic 4-drive, 100-slot model with 24MB/s data transfer rate, a 6-drive, 100- or 120-slot model, or a 6-drive, 140-slot model with 5.6 TB storage capacity (native).
