Intended for the enterprise market, the 4/40 offers increased flexibility and dependability. Each library in this family is based on a common architecture with a one- or two-drive 20-slot configuration (2/20);a two- or four-drive 40-slot configuration (4/40); and a two-, four- or six-drive 60-slot configuration (6/60).
Each library can be configured to meet individual requirements, so additional drives and or slots can be added. Remote management can be conducted using HP’s online library administration software, and all models are field-upgrade-ready for next-generation drives, such as LTO or SDLT.
Specifically, the 4/40 has a capacity of 100/200 GB, SCSI LVD interface, and a rackmount form factor. Recording format is LTO-1.
