HP DL560 Server Overview:
The Proliant DL560 is one of the latest quad socket offerings by HP and is perfect for small, medium and large data centers. Set on a well designed platform, the HP DL560 can handle heavy duty virtualizations and run business critical applications and is not a burden on the power supply like the E7 Xeon system. The HP DL560 can accommodate up to five SF hard disks and boasts a simple layout under the hood. Powered by a 2.4 GHZ E-5 4640 processor, the HP DL560 supports Intel’s hyper threading technology and 20 MB L3 cache. One of the notable features of the HP DL560 is its support for 48 DIMM sockets that clocks up to 1.5 TB with the help of 32 GB Quad quality DIMMS. Unlike other servers in the Proliant series, the HP DL560 does not showcase embedded network ports, but is fitted with a FlexibleLOM card slot.
Expansion options on the HP DL560 are rather impressive as it supports a pair of PCIe risers, each paired with three slots. In terms of the interior, the HP DL560 is neat and tidy, with tons of room at the back for the expansion slots. Speaking of space, there’s enough if it to accommodate full length cards and full width cards.
