IBM TotalStorage DS5020


Part of IBM’s DS series, the IBM TotalStorage DS5020 offers next-generation 8Gbps FC interfaces to allow infrastructure simplification. This model is intended for virtualization and consolidation, and can help lower the cost of consolidation. The DS5020 has been architected to expand from workgroup to enterprise-wide capability using six Fibre Channel expansion units with the EXP520 Expansion Unit.

  • Supports 4Gbps FC/FDE: 15k – 600GB, 450GB, 300GB, 146.8GB, E-DDM
  • Supports 4Gbps SATA: 7.2K 750GB and 1TB GB E-DDM
