IBM System Storage SAN16B-2 SAN Switch


The IBM SAN16B-2 (2005-16B) has been designed to deliver a high-performance, scalable, easy-to-use solution for small to medium-size SAN environments. It can serve as the base for new infrastructure simplification and business continuity solutions for servers running Microsoft Windows, UNIX, Linux, NetWare and OS/400 operating systems.

The SAN16B-2 standard configuration includes 8-port activation and capability to attach to hosts and storage devices.

  • Optical transceivers: 4 and 2 Gigabits per second (Gbps) short wave and 2Gbps long wave
