HP ML350 G5 / Generation 5 Considered one of the most flexible tower servers in the world, the HP Proliant ML350 G5 server features the most recent 4 and 2 core processor technology, dual redundant hot plug power supplies, dual redundant fans and dual purpose chassis that can support either 2.5” (SFF) or 3.5” (LFF) SAS or SATA drives. HP ML350 Review: HP has several reasons to boast about its ProLiant lineup, and the ML350 simply adds a few more stars to their portfolio. Regarded and claimed to be the world’s most flexible tower server, the HP ML350 is now on the brink of its sixth generation, and with it raging performance and capabilities, is definitely here to stay for a few more. 

The HP ML350 is powered by two dual processor sockets that are further enhanced with a pair of Gigabit network ports and dual redundant cooling fans. With room to accommodate two power supplies, the HP ML350 is setup in a dual purpose chassis, where IT managers can add either 2.5 inch or 3.5 inch SATA, SAS or SFF hard disks, and not one but two drive bays in it. 

Another notable aspect of the HP ML350 is its expansion potential, with an ensemble of 5.2 inch bays, one fitted with a DVD-ROM drive. Speaking of scalability, located below the DVD-ROM is a hard disk cage that is available in different versions to accommodate eight or six inch drives respectively. Furthermore, an optional eight slot bay or a dual slot bay can be added to the lower pair of expansion bays in the HP ML350.
