The XP 20000's dynamic partitioning ability has been packaged into the XP Array Manager software at no additional cost. Further, this model supports thin provisioning, and sections of the firmware have been redesigned to elevate performance.

Specs for the XP20000 include:
  • 300GB 15k rpm HDD Array Group
  • 4 Gbps bandwidth end-to-end
  • Fourth-generation crossbar switch backplane
  • 128 GB max configurable cache memory
  • Max amount of external storage that can be virtualized is 96 PB.
  • Max number of logical unit numbers (LUNs)/logical devices (LDEVs) for open systems is 64K.
  • Maximum configurable Shared Memory size is 14 GB
