The highly scalable Brocade Silkworm 7500 supports several significant business objectives, including: transferring from old to new SANs; consolidating data centers and rebalancing storage resources; moving from test to production networks; and, moving equipment on and off lease. It can greatly lower the cost and effort of SAN design, implementation, and management.


The Brocade Silkworm 7500 blends the industry’s first 4 Gbit/sec Fibre Channel routing capability with robust hardware-assisted traffic forwarding form Fibre Channel over IP (FCIP). It offers 16 Fibre Channel ports and two 1 Gigabit Ethernet ports.

  • Aggregate bandwidth: 128 Gbit/sec full duplex end-to-end Fibre Channel
  • Classes of Service: Class 2 and 3
