IBM 7214 Tape And DVD Enclosure Express

The IBM System Storage 7214 Tape and DVD Enclosure Express mounts in one EIA unit of a standard IBM Power Systems 19-inch rack, and can be configured with one or two tape or DVD drives. Featuring an SAS electronic interface, the 7214 Express can deliver more rapid transfer rates, more convenience and less space required for system-to-device cabling.

The IBM System Storage 7214 features IBM half-height LTO technology architected for dependable performance, ideal for small to medium open system environments. Several drive options are available, detailed below.

IBM 1400: DAT72

IBM 1420: DVD Sled with one DVD-RAM drive

IBM 1421: DVD Sled with one DVE-ROM drive

IBM 1423: DVD-ROM Slim drive only

IBM 1422: DVD-RAM Slim drive only
