The innovative IBM 9179-MHC Power 780 server model is a symmetric multiprocessing (SMP), rack-mounted server. MHC stands for Management Hardware Console. The 9179-MHC utilizes the latest POWER7 processor technology made to deliver performance, scalability, dependability, and manageability for demanding commercial workloads. This P7 modular-built system uses one to four drawer enclosures which are four EIA units tall and housed in a 19-inch rack.
